M2M Demo – Lesson #8 : Temperature Sensing
This ninth tutorial will guide you through the process of building a temperature sensor. You will use a TMP36 to calculate the temperature in correspondence to its resistance value. In order to do that you will have to set up a voltage divider circuit and connect it to an analog input pin of your ADK board. You will measure the change in voltage and apply some formulas to calculate the temperature. You will learn how to calculate the temperature with the help of your component’s datasheet. After that, you will transmit the determined value to the Android device. An Android application will visualize the measured temperature by drawing a thermometer and the textual value to its screen.
You will find :
– Arduino sketch
– Android code
– Documentation including : List of electronic components, Circuit diagram , Arduino sketch, Android main class script, and a photo of the result.
You can enhance the code or create new one 🙂
As usual all code is documented.
